Job summary

N Family Club in Hove is seeking an Assistant Educator to join our team, delivering the N Curriculum and our learning-through-play approach. You will help guide every child to dream big, think independently, and explore the world with confidence in a busy, nurturing environment.

You will learn from experienced educators, participate in the induction process, and have opportunities for further training and development, including Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding, with potential Level 2/3 EY

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for the role.
• Induction and development opportunities including Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Interest in education and helping children grow and learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning through play and the N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow daily routines and ensure smooth transitions between activities.
• Support planning of engaging learning experiences for child development.
• Support with observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
• Assist with mealtimes in line with safety policies.
• Conduct daily health and safety checks and escalate concerns.
• Build strong relationships with parents and families.
• Embed all policies and procedures into daily practice.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
• Support the planning of innovative, challenging learning experiences that encourage child development.
• Support with high-quality observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
• Help supervise mealtimes in line with N’s safety policies.
• Complete daily health & safety checks thoroughly, escalating concerns where needed.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents.
• Embed all policies and procedures into your daily practice.
• Make sure every area is kept clean and tidy throughout the day.
• Help with day-to-day tasks that keep the nursery running smoothly.
