Job summary

N Family Club Cambridge is hiring an Assistant Educator to support the team in delivering our learning through play and implementing the N Curriculum. You will follow daily routines, help plan engaging experiences, observe and support key children, supervise meals, and build trusting relationships with parents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning through play with care and flair.
• Follow daily routine and manage transitions between activities.
• Support planning of engaging learning experiences for child development.
• Assist with observations, assessments and planning for key children.
• Help supervise mealtimes and ensure safety.
• Complete daily health and safety checks and escalate concerns.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Maintain policies, procedures and a tidy environment.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery operations.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
• Support the planning of innovative, challenging learning experiences that encourage child development.
• Support with high-quality observations, assessments, and planning for key children.
• Help supervise mealtimes in line with N’s safety policies.
• Complete daily health & safety checks thoroughly, escalating concerns where needed.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents.
• Embed all policies and procedures into your daily practice.
• Make sure every area is kept clean and tidy throughout the day.
• Help with day-to-day tasks that keep the nursery running smoothly.
