Sidney Stringer Academy is seeking an Assistant Education Welfare Officer to join the Attendance Team and help improve attendance for students in Years 7 to 11. You will support students, families and staff, addressing barriers to attendance through mentoring and proactive contact.
Working under the Attendance Lead and Education Welfare Officer, you will record, escalate and follow up concerns, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and documentation is kept up to date.
You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.
To work as part of the Attendance Team to support the academy’s attendance strategy. The postholder will undertake a range of duties, including home visits, absence follow up, mentoring, administrative tasks and record keeping, to support improved attendance for students in Years 7 to 11.
The Assistant Education Welfare Officer will work under the direction of the Attendance Lead and Education Welfare Officer, supporting students, families and staff to address barriers to attendance and ensure that attendance concerns are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately.

Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm
