Job summary
Penguin Recruitment seeks an Assistant Ecologist in Bristol to join a respected environmental consultancy. You will undertake ecological surveys, assist with planning applications, and contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain, protected species work, and habitat enhancement.
You will collaborate with arboriculturalists and landscape teams on diverse projects. Required: ecology/environmental science degree, consultancy survey/report experience, knowledge of UK ecology and relevant laws, full UK
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Consultancy experience with ecological surveys and reporting.
- Good understanding of UK ecology, protected species and relevant legislation.
- Experience with PEA, EcIA and/or BNG desirable.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Undertake ecological surveys and assessments across a varied project portfolio.
- Support planning applications and contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain.
- Collaborate with arboriculturalists, landscape architects and project teams.
- Assist with ecological mitigation and habitat enhancement.
