Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Ecologist to join a Midlands-based environmental consultancy, based in Birmingham. You will conduct ecological surveys, assessments and reporting across a varied project portfolio while developing technical and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in ecological surveys, assessments and reporting.
• Ability to work across multiple projects within a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking ecological and protected species surveys
• Preparing ecological reports, assessments and mitigation strategies
• Supporting ecological impact assessments and planning applications
• Providing ecological advice to clients, contractors and project teams
• Assisting with habitat creation, enhancement and mitigation schemes
• Supporting project delivery and managing fieldwork
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider environmental team
