L.J.B & Co. Construction Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Drylining Estimator based in Essex with occasional travel into London. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, and coordinating with clients and design teams on project scope.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in drylining estimating, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and strong communication and organisational skills. Immediate availability or up to one month notice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Cost Estimates: Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates based on technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements, ensuring submissions are commercially viable.
• Tendering & Take-Offs: Prepare detailed take-offs and tender submissions, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is high standard.
• Client & Design Team Coordination: Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify project details and align on scope and expectations.
• Supply Chain Engagement: Source and negotiate competitive pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to support cost-effective project delivery.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of estimates, tender submissions, and client feedback for future reference.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an Assistant Drylining Estimator to join their team. This position will be based in Essex, with travel into London as required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Cost Estimates
  Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates based on technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements, ensuring all submissions are commercially viable.
• Tendering & Take-Offs
  Prepare detailed take-offs and tender submissions, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is completed to a high standard.
• Client & Design Team Coordination
  Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify project details, resolve queries, and ensure alignment on scope and expectations.
• Supply Chain Engagement
  Source and negotiate competitive pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to support cost-effective project delivery.
• Documentation & Record Keeping
  Maintain detailed and organised records of estimates, tender submissions, and client feedback for future reference and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in drylining estimating within the construction industry

• Must be based within commutable distance to London
• Available immediately or with a notice period of up to one month
