Job summary

Mace is seeking an Assistant Digital Engineering / BIM Manager to lead information management for major projects in London. You will coordinate teams, develop BEP and information requirements, and drive digital delivery within a common data environment.

You will implement ISO19650-based processes, oversee security of information, and collaborate with project teams to enhance BIM workflows and project outcomes in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Autodesk Desktop Products, and Validation/Verification Tools.
  • Basic understanding of ISO19650, BS1192, CDE, IFC and classifications.
  • Personal effectiveness and teamwork: plan, organize, collaborate, and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team to develop and maintain information requirements and standards.
  • Lead information management delivery for project teams.
  • Advise on ISO19650 and related standards for clients and projects.
  • Ensure security protocols for viewing and issuing information.
  • Review and improve BIM processes and tools with new technologies.
  • Support BEP and Information requirements development (OIR/AIR/PIR/EIR).
  • Upskill client teams and project teams with BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Collaborate with PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance.

Assistant Digital Engineering / BIM Manager

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to join the Mace Construct Commercial sector business unit which delivers our commercial offices, retro-fit and major project schemes. You will be responsible for coordinating activities of a team to develop and maintain information requirements and standards, developing and managing processes within a common data environment. You will lead the delivery of information management function for project team.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Providing support to the Delivery Team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advise, innovate, understand, develop and implement processes described within ISO19650 series, including how the information is produced and assured for digital delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
  • Ensure security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
  • Monitor digital handover to completion.
  • Review current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments of applicable classifications.
  • Support construction sequencing strategy using information models.
  • Support implementation of governance and assurance processes.
  • Provide support in preparation of cost plans from information models.
  • Support object library development in alignment with wider BIM Strategy.
  • Support the development of BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Support the development of Information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
  • Support the production of information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
  • Provide support during the production of the Information Model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only).
  • Upskill the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Experience with Autodesk Desktop Products, Validation and Verification Tools and

Visualisation Tools.

  • Basic Understanding of ISO19650, BS1192, Computer Science Programming, Common Data Environment (CDE), IFC, and Classifications.
  • Personal Effectiveness, Plans and organises, Collaborates and Networks, Solves Problems, Adapts and responds to change, Delivers results and exceeds clients’ expectations
