Job summary

Mace seeks an experienced BIM professional in the Manchester area to lead and coordinate Building Information Modelling activities across the project lifecycle. You will develop BEP, manage digital handover strategies, and ensure compliance with ISO 19650, while collaborating with the PM and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess current resources on projects to ensure sufficiency for goals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct interviews to assess BIM candidate skills and experience.
• Develop BIM execution plan (BEP).
• Develop the client’s digital handover strategy.
• Maintain understanding of ISO19650 and applicable standards.
• Ensure security protocols for information viewing/issuing.
• Implement governance and assurance processes.
• Monitor digital handover to completion.
• Stay updated on BIM developments at industry events.
• Produce information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) per ISO 19650.
• Produce information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
• Raise job requisitions to recruit BIM talent.
• Research regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Develop and manage object libraries aligned with BIM strategy.
• Assure and check Information Model.
• Produce Information model (Pre-RIBA Stage 3).
• Review Autodesk Construction Cloud account management and stay updated on Autodesk developments.
• Review current tech solutions and research new ones to improve BIM processes.
• Support construction sequencing using information models.
• Assist cost team in preparing cost plans from information models.
• Provide training on databases, data analysis, templates, assurance, COBie, and other BIM topics.
• Upskill client team and Mace project/design teams through BIM knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement plans and key business improvements.
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Manage and influence Key/Senior Stakeholders.
• Contribute to net zero carbon transition and manage associated emissions during delivery.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Supporting the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle.

• Object library development in alignment with wider BIM Strategy.
• Assurance and Checking of the Information Model.
• Production of the Information model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only)
• Reviewing Autodesk construction cloud account management and stay up to date on the latest Autodesk developments.
• Reviewing current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
• Supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models.
• Supporting Mace cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
• Providing training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
• Upskilling the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
• Collaborating with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements.
• Developing and maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships.
• Managing and influencing Key/Senior Stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll Need To Have

• Level 6 qualifications (or equivalent)
• Degree apprenticeship, degree with honours - for example bachelor of the arts (BA) hons, Bachelor of Science (BSc) hons, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, level 6 award, level 6 certificate, level 6 diploma, level 6 NVQ.
