Job summary

The role spans pre-construction and construction design activities for projects typically valued between £10m and £50m, ensuring design information is delivered on time and to specification.

The successful candidate will coordinate external consultants, implement cost-effective design solutions, and maintain tight programme controls to achieve project success.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex high-value design projects for main contractors.
• Strong organizational skills to plan, schedule and manage multiple workloads.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning Permission processes.
• Commercial awareness and familiarity with client procurement methods.
• Experience with on-site operations and contract procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design processes during pre-construction and construction phases; interpret Employer's Requirements and develop contractor's proposals.
• Coordinate and supervise external design consultants.
• Implement innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of design information and resolve deadlines.
• Participate in tender launches, adjudications and project initiation meetings.
