Qualifications

• Experience in nursery leadership positions (e.g. Room Manager / Deputy Manager).
• Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and inspection processes across the UK.
• Budgeting, staffing deployment, performance management and reporting metrics experience.
• Background in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and First Aid at Work.
• Safeguarding training and willingness to update regularly.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for the team.
• Partner with the Deputy Manager to deliver education aligned with the N Pedagogy and Curriculum.
• Champion safeguarding and wellbeing; act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
• Keep nursery self-evaluation up to date and ensure actions are followed through.
• Review daily risk and health and safety checks to keep operations smooth and safe.
• Coach and motivate the team through regular feedback and development.
• Support staffing and operations, including interviews and rotas, and cover in rooms when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement to maintain Outstanding standards.
