Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is seeking an Assistant Depot Manager in Reading to support daily depot operations, supervise staff, and optimise logistics processes. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, inventory control, and using TMS/WMS/ERP systems to improve service levels and cost effectiveness. The role requires supervisory experience and strong logistics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in logistics or warehouse settings.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and warehouse operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise systems (TMS, WMS, ERP).
• Experience using AS400 platforms and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with focus on safety and accuracy.
• Ability to implement process improvements in a fast-paced depot.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Depot Manager with daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and inventory management.
• Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring safety procedures and productivity targets are met.
• Coordinate TMS to optimise delivery schedules and freight movements.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cut costs.
• Use WMS and ERP systems to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline workflows.
• Oversee forklift operations with proper training and safety compliance.
• Monitor profit and loss statements to support financial accountability.
