We are seeking an experienced Assistant Data Centre Manager to join a 24/7 critical environment operations team. This role is ideal for a senior shift engineer or team leader ready to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway toward Data Centre Manager level responsibilities.

This is a hands-on, leadership role within a live, mission-critical environment, overseeing all aspects of MEP operations and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure high performance and consistent standards.
Ensure the safety of all personnel and equipment on-site.
Oversee and manage day-to-day MEP operations within the facility.
Maintain all critical plant and infrastructure in line with industry best practices and manufacturer specifications.
Act as a key liaison with construction and project teams to ensure facilities remain compliant with all statutory requirements.
Manage change, incident, and problem resolution processes.
Maintain high standards in written communication, reporting, and documentation.
Champion continuous improvement and drive innovation across all operational areas.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

AP15 Qualification (Authorised Person – High Voltage)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre operations.
Proven experience maintaining mechanical and electrical infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.
Strong understanding of data centre operational protocols and restrictions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing conflicting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
