Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Cost Assurance Consultant to help clients gain confidence in project expenditure, governance, and contract compliance across major infrastructure programmes.

You will analyse cost data, support audits, and prepare working papers while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders. An ideal graduate or early-career professional will have a relevant degree, strong numerical skills, and Excel proficiency. Travel nationally is expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel capability and data handling.
• Interest in commercial, contractual, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyse contractor cost data against contractual and commercial principles.
• Support cost assurance reviews and audits across projects and sectors.
• Assist with cost sampling, payroll reviews, and employment contract audits.
• Gather and assess financial and project documentation from contractors and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, findings, and supporting working papers.
• Build relationships with project teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Travel nationally to support project reviews and stakeholder engagement as required.
