Arcadis is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to join the Cost and Commercial Assurance team. You will support cost verification commissions, analyse complex financial data, assess contractual compliance and present evidence-based recommendations.

The role is ideal for someone with a Quantity Surveying, accounting or commercial background who enjoys data-driven insight and clear client reporting, with travel to client sites across the UK as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy or related discipline.
• Professional membership such as MRICS, ACCA or FCA advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with cost systems (COINS, SAP, ICON, Oracle).
• Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with project and finance teams to gather key information.

Role description:

Join our Cost and Commercial Assurance team and help clients make informed commercial decisions across a variety of sectors.

Working alongside a Senior Cost Consultant, you will support the delivery of cost verification commissions, analysing complex financial information, assessing contractual compliance and presenting clear, evidence-based findings and recommendations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Quantity Surveying, accountancy or commercial background who enjoys working with data, asking the right questions and turning detailed analysis into meaningful client insight.

Role accountabilities:

• Manage defined areas of cost verification commissions
• Analyse cost data against contractual and commercial principles
• Review cost and commercial management systems and processes
• Undertake data sampling, payroll and employment contract audits
• Work with project and finance teams to obtain and understand key information
• Produce working papers, close-out reports and practical recommendations
• Present findings clearly to contractors and other stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior colleagues
• Travel to client sites and other UK locations when required

Qualifications & Experience:

You will ideally have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy or a related discipline. Professional membership such as MRICS, ACCA or FCA would be advantageous but is not essential, and continued professional development will be supported.

You will also bring:

• Experience of cost systems such as COINS, SAP, ICON or Oracle
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of target cost or cost-reimbursable construction contracts
• The ability to analyse and interpret complex data
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Clear, confident communication with stakeholders at different levels
• The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and deliver to deadlines
