Job summary

Arcadis in London is seeking a Project Cost Consultant to join the Mobility Commercial Management team. You will manage cost, commercial risk and project performance across highways infrastructure, working with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, 5+ years in cost management or QS, and a proactive, organised approach to delivering robust commercial outputs for complex programmes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Experience on infrastructure, highways, transport or aviation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and contract administration.
  • Ability to analyse commercial information and produce accurate cost and reporting outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Progress towards, or achievement of, MRICS.
  • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of small to medium-sized commissions and elements of larger projects.

Role description:

As demand continues to grow across our Mobility business, we're looking for a Project Cost Consultant to join our Commercial Management team in London & South East. Working across a diverse portfolio of major highways infrastructure projects, you'll play a key role in helping clients manage cost, commercial risk and project performance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware cost professional who enjoys working collaboratively, building strong client relationships and contributing to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure programmes.

Role accountabilities:

As part of our growing Mobility Commercial Management team, you'll support the delivery of cost management services across a range of highways projects and programmes.

You’ll be responsible for managing your own project workstreams or supporting larger commissions, providing robust commercial insight and helping clients make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending project and site meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders and project partners.
Qualifications & Experience:

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have experience within infrastructure, transport or construction environments and are looking to grow their career within a leading consultancy.

You’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Experience working on infrastructure, highways, transportation or aviation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and contract administration.
  • The ability to analyse commercial information and produce accurate cost and reporting outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A sound understanding of construction delivery and cost management methodologies.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards, or achievement of, a professional qualification such as MRICS.
  • A CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
