Serco is seeking an Assistant Cook for our AASC team in Coventry. You will assist in preparing nutritious meals, ensure food safety, and work closely with the Head Cook to meet high catering standards.
The role requires Level 3 Food Safety and Level 2 Allergens qualifications, plus substantial catering experience. DBS and BPSS clearance are required, with opportunities for development and extensive staff benefits.
Location: Coventry City Centre, CV1
Salary: £28,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, working 12 hour shifts 4 days on 4 days off across Monday- Sunday.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. This role also requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
