Job summary

Serco is seeking an Electrician for the AASC team, covering Coventry, Northampton and surrounding areas. You will carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and certification across residential properties to ensure safe, compliant and well-maintained accommodation.

This permanent role requires City & Guilds certification, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel. You’ll join a supportive environment with on-call duties, a competitive salary of £42,000, a company van and fuel

Qualifications

• Carry out reactive and remedial electrical works across domestic properties.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations and maintain documentation.
• Service and maintain power, lighting, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and heating systems.
• Provide technical advice and support to maintenance colleagues and help resolve complex electrical issues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and within agreed service levels.

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week, typically between 08:00 and 18:00, with participation in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours working requirements - On Call Allowance £205 per call out + time and a half overtime pay)

As an Electrician in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) team, you'll carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and certification across a portfolio of residential properties. What You’ll Do As a Electrician

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…

• Qualified to City and Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 (2365, 2330 or equivalent).
• Holds City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition and City and Guilds 2391/52 Inspection and Testing qualifications.
• Experienced in carrying out electrical work within domestic dwellings.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.

Vetting and checks

This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be required to ensure we can offer appropriate support for your wellbeing and performance.
