This full-time position offers progression toward a Contracts Manager role, with exposure to varied joinery projects and direct collaboration with management, clients and trades on site.

Are you working in construction and looking for an opportunity to step into Contracts Management? We're recruiting an Assistant Contracts Manager for a growing North East business specialising in the manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who is ambitious, practical and keen to progress. You don't need to be an experienced Contracts Manager - attitude, initiative and potential are more important than having the perfect CV.
Working directly alongside the Director, you'll become the eyes and ears across a number of live projects, helping to keep jobs organised, clients informed and projects moving. The role combines office/workshop-based work with regular visits to construction sites across the North East.
You could currently be working as an Assistant Contracts Manager, Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or in another construction-related role and looking for your next step. Experience within bespoke joinery, construction or commercial fit-out would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in someone with the right attitude and potential to develop.

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll gain exposure to varied joinery projects, work directly with experienced management and be given increasing responsibility as your confidence and experience grow. The long-term plan is for the successful person to develop into a fully-fledged Contracts Manager, taking ownership of their own projects.
