At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an Assistant Construction Engineer - Mechanical at the Hinkley Point C nuclear project in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, which involves integrating and coordinating the delivery of main MEH, cabling, and support services to facilitate complex installations in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.

The role

As an Assistant Construction Engineer, you will support the EIT Manager in engineering, construction planning, and installation activities across the HPC site on behalf of the MEH Alliance. Your responsibilities include delivering Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks, promoting a strong HSE culture, and supporting construction lifecycle activities.

This is a junior role with on-the-job training provided as needed.

• Utilize the Procon system for construction support and progress reporting.
• Coordinate Work Authorization and Permit systems in compliance with NNB requirements.
• Manage safe access routing to workfaces for construction activities.
• Conduct topographical and other surveys to support construction.
• Prioritize and manage documentation to facilitate construction activities.
• Ensure documentation compliance with latest works information and MEH documentation.

This is a full-time position, based on 37 hours per week at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.
