Job summary

Mitten Clarke Limited is seeking an Assistant Client Manager to join their dynamic accounts team in Manchester. The role involves managing a diverse client portfolio, fostering strong client relationships, and leading a team for effective service delivery. Ideal candidates will be ACA/ACCA qualified and have experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager. Qualifications

• Be ACA / ACCA qualified.
• Have practice experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager.
• Have worked with a range of clients, including owner-managed businesses.
• Be tech-savvy, with a knowledge of CCH desirable.
• Thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and look after your own vibrant and diverse client portfolio.
• Cultivate long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Lead a team, overseeing the production of work.
• Work collaboratively with directors and other departments.
• Retain existing clients and build relationships with potential new clients.
• Coach, develop, and lead the accounts team.

As an Assistant Client Manager, you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced accounts team across our Manchester City-Centre & Altrincham office, working with directors and client managers to provide great advice to clients. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Senior Accountant looking for their next step, or an experienced Assistant Manager looking to join a firm that has a true people focus. As part of our team, you’ll:

• Manage and look after your own vibrant and diverse client portfolio.
• Cultivate long‑lasting relationships becoming the go‑to for clients.
• Lead a team, overseeing the production of the work to deliver a fantastic service.
• Work collaboratively with directors and other departments to support the overall delivery of services to your portfolio.
• Wow clients daily, getting to know their business to deliver a great experience.
• Contribute to our growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with potential new clients.
• Coach, develop and lead the accounts team and line reports.
