Energy Jobline CVL in Cambridge is recruiting an Assistant Civil Engineer to support the design and delivery of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.

You will work with experienced engineers on drainage, highways and S278/S38 schemes, gaining exposure to technical design packages and ICE accreditation progress.

The role offers development opportunities, mentorship from senior engineers, and a path to chartership, within a collaborative, award-winning consultancy environment.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering (HND/BEng/MEng/MSc).
• Experience in civil engineering consultancy.
• Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of S278/S38, SuDS and DMRB guidance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or equivalent 3D design software.
• Experience liaising with developers, architects and local authorities.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in ICE accreditation.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design of drainage systems, highway layouts and S278/S38 schemes.
• Produce technical designs in accordance with industry standards including Sewers for Adoption, the SuDS Manual, Manual for Streets and DMRB.
• Prepare accurate engineering drawings, technical reports and design packages.
• Liaise with developers, architects, local authorities and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high technical standard.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering software to develop practical design solutions.
• Take responsibility for designated elements of projects whilst developing your project coordination and management skills.
• Support business development activities and build relationships with clients and industry professionals.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Civil Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.

What You'll Need

To be considered for this Assistant Civil Engineer opportunity, you will ideally have:

• An HND, BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering.
• Experience within a civil engineering consultancy.
• Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of relevant design standards and guidance, including S278/S38 agreements, SuDS and DMRB.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or equivalent 3D design software.
• Experience liaising with developers, architects and local authorities.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• An interest in working towards ICE professional accreditation.

Salary & Benefits
