Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our Design & Advanced Technology Practice in the UK. You will contribute to civil design across river, coastal, maritime and dam projects, supporting delivery and technical quality with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will work on complex, iconic schemes, engage with clients, and develop your professional skills toward chartership while enjoying hybrid working with three days in office/site and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Aspiration to progress towards chartership.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving real-world challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead a small team in delivering technical design work on multidisciplinary projects.
• Collaborate with civil engineering and multi-disciplinary teams on delivery of design deliverables.
• Work independently with some technical guidance.
• Use technical judgement to solve design problems and mentor juniors where appropriate.
• Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to QA standards in design and check own work and others.
• Input and prepare technical deliverables: design reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, scopes of work.
• Attend sites to inspect asset conditions and accompany senior engineers.
