Job summary

Attega Group Ltd invites applications for an Assistant Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and transport planning consultancy. The role focuses on supporting drainage, highway design and S278/S38 schemes, while contributing to client communications and project packages.

You will work within a design team, producing consistent technical drawings and supporting senior staff on delivery, budgets and quality improvements. ICE accreditation progress is encouraged.

Qualifications

HND, BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering.
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in civil engineering consultancy.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Site 3D (or equivalent 3D design software).
Willingness to learn new systems and pursue ICE accreditation.

Responsibilities

Design drainage systems, highway layouts and S278/S38 schemes as part of a design team.
Produce high‑quality drawings and design packages under supervision.
Interface with clients and other stakeholders on designated projects.
Assist with project delivery, budgeting and cost monitoring.
Identify design risks and address health, safety, welfare and environment aspects.
Support business development and attend networking events.
