Healthcare Homes Group is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant for Meadow House, providing care for 38 residents. The role supports the Head Chef, prepares nutritious meals to high standards, and helps manage stock while fostering a friendly team environment.

Experience in professional kitchens and good food hygiene are important; City & Guilds/NVQ in Cookery are preferred but not essential. The position is 22.5 hours per week, with weekend work included.

Formación

• Experience in working in a professional kitchen.
• Good organisational skills and knowledge of kitchen practices and food hygiene.
• City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications preferred but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Deliver nutritious and wholesome dishes cooked to high quality and standards.
• Manage stock control.
• Assist in leading and motivating a team.
• Support writing and planning weekly menus, ordering and minimising wastage.
