Job summary

Codi Group is seeking an Assistant Chef for Dan Y Mynydd, a brand-new Extra Care scheme for over 50s in Wales. You will prepare nutritious meals daily for residents in 60 self-contained flats, sourcing fresh ingredients and ensuring top Health & Safety standards in a community-focused kitchen.

You’ll design inclusive menus, cater to cultural and dietary needs, and work closely with the Service Manager and tenants to create meals that bring people together in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have professional fresh-food kitchen experience.
• Hold a basic catering qualification (QCF/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, budgeting and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create delicious, nutritious meals daily for tenants.
• Source fresh ingredients and ensure health & Safety standards.
• Design menus catering to cultural and dietary needs.
• Support the catering team and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
