Job summary

Wrekin Housing Group is seeking a Kitchen/Facilities Assistant to prepare nutritious meals for ShireLiving residents. The role covers 30 hours per week on a 7-day rota, with shifts from 07:00 to 15:00, at Maywood, Wombourne, Wolverhampton.

You will manage kitchen operations, monitor inventories, order supplies and train new staff while maintaining high sanitation standards. This is a rewarding opportunity within a supportive housing and care environment for residents over 55.

Job description

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £20,610.20 per annum

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week available, covering a 7 day rota; Hours: 07:00am to 15:00pm

Location: Maywood, Wombourne, Wolverhampton, WV5 8DU

Our ShireLiving or supported housing facilities provide people over 55 years old a safe, secure, and caring environment. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will become a key part of the team to deliver catering services to our residents. Our scheme in Maywood has 52 apartments that may be single or double occupied.

  • You will be someone who has the ability to create great food, that is well presented, full of flavour, balanced and nutritional
  • You will have experience of ordering supplies and carrying out stock takes
  • You will be someone who would embrace processes and procedures along with adding in a good measure of your creativity
  • You will be open to new ideas and thinking out of the box
