Caring Homes Group in Wandsworth is seeking an Assistant Chef to support our residential dining program. You will help plan and prepare high-quality, nutritious meals, assist the Head Chef, and ensure kitchen operations run smoothly for residents.

This role requires hands-on kitchen experience, knowledge of food safety, and the ability to work as part of a friendly team that puts residents first. Join us to contribute to a caring, community-focused dining service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to mentor and support kitchen staff.

• Communicate with residents and relatives to ensure satisfaction and continual feedback.

Assistant Chef - The Pines, Wandsworth - £15.75 per hour

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents.
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to safety standards when needed.
• Support and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Create and update menus that align with residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate special events and dietary accommodations for residents as needed.
• Coordinating and communicating with the residents and relatives to ensure the satisfaction and needs of everyone is met and exceeded through continual feedback.

• Level 2 or above in Food Safety.
• Level 2 Catering and Hospitality Qualification.
• Allergen and Intolerance Awareness Certificate desired but not essential.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen.
