As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will love. You'll provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, coaching colleagues, or supervising kitchen clean-up, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.

HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we're seeking someone with positive energy, good interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to follow recipes accurately. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues if necessary.
