Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare in Stratford-upon-Avon is recruiting an Assistant Centre Manager for our Stratford Centre. The role is full-time and permanent, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm with a half-day finish on Saturday, and a guide salary dependent on experience.

You will lead and train the team to deliver excellent customer service, drive productivity, and work with the store manager to improve the business, costs, and margins.

Qualifications

• MOT certification class 4 or above.
• MOT testing and mechanic experience.
• Retail supervisory experience of 2+ years.
• Passionate about improving performance and sales.
• Ability to build positive professional relationships.
• Experience in a fast-fit car centre or franchise dealership.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Job description

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Centre Manager to join the team in our Stratford Centre. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm – half a day finish on a Saturday, with a guide salary depending on experience.

What you will be doing as an Assistant Centre Manager:

• Leading and training the team to provide excellent customer service
• Ensuring the team is effective and productive
• Working with the team, peers, and store manager to improve the business
• Maximising profit and turnover
• Assist the store’s manager with costs, margins and cash collection
• Planning to deliver KPIs and empowering the team to deliver
• Planning key merchandising activity in a timely manner and ensuring stock management routines are in place
• Building relationships with customers and local traders
• Proactive interactions with customers
• Supporting the store manager to ensure all store colleagues are adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
• Carry out MOT inspection to defined standards
• To carry out administration duties as required within the store.
• To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.

What you will need:

• MOT certification class 4 or above
• MOT Testing and Mechanic experience
• Experience within the retail sector with a minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience
• Passionate about improving performance and sales, and delivering a high standard of customer service
• Able to build positive and effective professional relationships
• Experience within a in a fast-fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
