Are you an experienced Assistant Category Manager looking to join an ambitious team within one of the most complex and large NHS Trusts in the UK? We are seeking an Assistant Category Manager for the Mental Health and Community Category. As a member of a newly established team, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the new Procurement and Supply Chain operating model and strategy across Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and the ‘Smart Together’ Shared Service. Working alongside the Category Manager and Senior Category Manager, you will deliver a proactive procurement service, managing various procurement activities and projects to ensure the Trust and its Shared Service Partner Trusts have access to the right products and services to provide excellent patient care.

This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their procurement career, ideally studying towards or willing to start their MCIPS qualification, and who has experience working within a public sector procurement team, building strong stakeholder relationships.
The role requires frequent travel to our Mental Health and Community Shared Service Partners in South London and Kent.
Completing relevant analysis to improve processes, support problem-solving, and deliver sustainable cost and service improvements.
