Assistant Buyer / Assistant Merchandiser

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer/Merchandiser, or someone with the right experience, skills and attitude, looking to take their career to the next step with us. We are looking for someone that encompasses our values and mission, and is excited about the idea of furthering our business through trend analysis and sourcing. You will have experience working with lots of projects at once. You will report into our Senior Buyer/Merchandiser and work closely with the rest of the Design team, as well as the wider company, to deliver creative and trend forward analysis to further the brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and purchasing fabrics while ensuring optimal stock availability.
  • Sourcing the correct quantities and assortments of products, and dealing with the logistics for this.
  • Updating stakeholders on sales, stock, intakes, markdowns etc.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers while launching colour lap dips, strike off’s and trim sourcing etc.
  • Analyse sales, stock and supplier performance data and report to the Senior Buyer/Merchandiser and stakeholders.
  • Manage, track and log all relevant sample orders.
  • Support the Senior Buyer/Merchandiser with product range reviews, cost-saving initiatives and sourcing strategies.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, supplier developments and competitor activity, identify key opportunities and risks, and share findings and suggestions with stakeholders.
  • Work with the rest of the department to create successful range plans.
  • Assist with resolving invoice price queries and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate across the Design department to maintain accurate product information and resolve product-related issues.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

About You

  • Incredibly analytical with a great eye for detail
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Merchandiser for 1+ year or 3+ years as an Admin Assistant Buyer or Merchandiser
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

It would be great if you had…
