Job summary

Grant & Stone Building Supplies, part of IBMG, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager at the Pinner branch to act as second in command and help lead the team.

You will drive sales, support day-to-day operations and step in for the Branch Manager when required, with a clear path to Branch Manager.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:15–17:15 and alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00. We offer holiday entitlement, staff discounts and ongoing training to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or trade counter environments.
• Strong customer service focus and communication.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Desire to progress into branch management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations with the Branch Manager.
• Drive sales and convert enquiries into orders.
• Supervise counter, yard and delivery teams.
• Provide guidance to colleagues and develop the team.
• Maintain health and safety and merchandising standards.
• Build relationships and grow branch business.
• Support in absence of Branch Manager.
