Job summary

Jewson in Redruth is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager who thrives on great service and team leadership. You will support the Branch Manager, manage customer orders, stock levels and safety, and help drive local sales growth while delivering a first-class experience.

The role offers a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance and 34 days of holiday. Hours 7:30am–5:00pm Monday to Friday with alternating Saturday morning shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication to provide great customer service.

• Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
• Industry knowledge of building materials is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Know product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers both face to face and over the phone.
• Understand local market to support sales growth plans.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise delivery times and keep customers updated.
• Maintain stock levels and carry out regular stock counts.
• Lead the team to prioritise Health & Safety at work.

Jewson is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Assistant Branch Manager who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7:30am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm.

Location: Jewson, Agar Rd, Illogan Highway, Redruth, TR15 3ED.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills And Experience
