Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Assistant Audit Manager to join its audit team. The role involves delivering high-quality audit services to a varied client portfolio, leading audit assignments and working closely with senior management.

You will supervise and develop junior staff, manage client relationships and ensure audits are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with professional standards. The position offers hybrid working and strong career progression.

Qualifications

• Previous audit experience, ideally within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards.
• Experience leading audit assignments and handling complex areas.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork on-site and remotely across a varied client portfolio.
• Review financial statements, accounting records and audit documentation.
• Identify key audit risks and perform appropriate testing.
• Supervise, mentor and develop audit seniors and junior staff.
• Monitor workloads, deadlines, budgets and team performance.
• Ensure audit files meet internal quality and regulatory standards.
