Job summary

Bath College is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team at dual campus locations. The role supports CFO and Interim Head of Finance to deliver high-quality accounting services and robust financial governance.

Permanent, 37 hours weekly, with standard college hours and salary in the posted range. Interview date scheduled at City Centre Campus Bath. This role entails collaboration across departments to drive financial sustainability and support learners and staff.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance and audit requirements.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of customer service.
