Job summary

Antipo Talent Ltd in Bath is seeking an Accountant to join our central finance team and take responsibility for key areas of the financial close, reporting and accounting processes. The role suits a qualified AAT or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong knowledge of credits and debits, excellent attention to detail and experience with month-end, reconciliations and transactional finance.

You will own month-end processes, prepare journals, reconcile balance sheets and support

Qualifications

• Qualified AAT or part-qualified with CIMA/ACCA/ACA in progress or equivalent.
• Experience in month-end, reconciliations and transactional finance.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key aspects of the month end process.
• Prepare and post month end journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for month end and year end reporting
• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with accounting controls
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation issues
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audit requirements
• Work closely with internal teams to provide accurate financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting

The role will suit a qualified AAT or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with strong knowledge of credits and debits, excellent attention to detail and experience working across month end, reconciliations and transactional finance. Key responsibilities of the Accountant position include:
