Job summary

Fanvue is hiring an Assistant Accountant to own the ledger, month-end close, and related finance administration. You will manage the ledger with our outsourced bookkeepers, ensure reconciliations are complete across GBP, USD and EUR, and deliver timely month-end closes with the Finance Manager.

The role requires 2–4 years in a finance team, AAT qualification or steps toward ACCA/CIMA/ACA, and strong Excel/Xero skills. It offers remote work with London office access and study support.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in a finance team or accounting practice with end-to-end month-end close
• AAT qualification or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA; study support provided
• Confident with Xero or similar cloud accounting and large data sets in Excel/Sheets
• Experience with multi-currency reconciliations and high transaction volumes
• Clear, friendly written communication while coordinating with others

Responsibilities

• Own and review the ledger in Xero, including outsourced bookkeepers' coding and reconciliations across GBP, USD and EUR
• Prepare month-end journals, accruals and prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations; close by day 5 with Finance Manager
• Maintain intercompany reconciliations with US entity
• Reconcile payroll, PAYE and pension with Rippling monthly
• Prepare UK VAT return in Xero for review
• Prepare year-end schedules and respond to external accountants and auditors queries
• Run supplier invoices inbox, chasing receipts and maintaining documentation
• Chase receipts and obtain missing context for card spend
• Verify supplier bank details and onboarding information
• Be first point of contact for finance questions from wider team
