Job summary

Xplor Technologies is hiring an Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations and month-end close within a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will ensure data accuracy, handle reconciliations and assist with reporting across the APAC region, working with NetSuite and other cloud systems.

The role is fully remote across the United Kingdom with occasional meet-ups at our Newcastle office, reporting into the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a professional qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or recently qualified
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with cloud-based finance systems (e.g. NetSuite, Xero)
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
• Experience supporting month-end close processes and reconciliations
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends in financial data
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced SaaS environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure month end reconciliations are complete and accurate within One Stream
• Manage the identification, recording, reporting, valuation, accounting of fixed assets
• Prepare monthly internal capitalisation of labour reports and analysis
• Allocate useful life for assets and run Netsuite processes monthly with ledger reconciliation
• Prepare movement table for fixed assets
• Assist with indirect tax returns (VAT/GST) and reconcile to ledger and Netsuite tax reports
• Assist with actual returns and respond to tax authority queries
• Analyze ledger activity for month end reporting and tax analysis
• Assist with management of corporate card expenses and timely reporting
• Assist with audit queries and ad hoc journal entries
• Support one-off finance-related projects
• Role is fully remote across the UK with occasional meet-ups at Newcastle office
