Trinity House Group Ltd is creating a brand new Assistant Accountant role within a growing finance team, offering a ground-floor opportunity to help shape the function as they integrate a recent acquisition. This temp-to-perm position requires someone who can jump in and start contributing from day one.

You will handle journal entries, bank reconciliations, and support month-end close, bringing hands-on double-entry bookkeeping experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on exposure to double-entry bookkeeping.
• Practical understanding of debits/credits and ledger impact.
• Ability to post and correct journal entries independently.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas and VLOOKUPs.
• Meticulous, methodical approach to reconciliation work.
• Available immediately or on short notice period.

Responsibilities

• Post journal entries across multiple bank accounts and reflect in the ledger.
• Correct postings when errors occur using proper debits and credits.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and respond to reconciliation queries.
• Help build scalable processes as the finance function grows.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team on additional month-end tasks.
• Contribute to ad hoc process improvement projects during acquisitions.
