Job summary

Trinity House Group is hiring a Finance Assistant to cover a busy period of 2-3 months. The role is full-time, hybrid, with an immediate start and potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will own transactional finance tasks, including invoices, credit cards and the sales ledger, working with budget holders and the broader finance team. The ideal candidate will have a ready-to-go finance desk approach, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with purchase ledger and sales ledger.
• Comfortable handling invoicing, credit cards and payments.
• Capable of learning new finance systems quickly.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy first time.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, invoices, petty cash and credit card transactions.
• Ensure proper authorisation before posting in the finance system.
• Manage supplier relationships and respond to queries.
• Assist with weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Verify bank details before first supplier payment; perform due diligence.
