Job summary

Olleco in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team. The role involves preparing weekly and monthly management accounts, payroll analysis, and supporting annual budgets and audits.

The ideal candidate is QBE or pursuing ACCA/CIMA/AAT, with audit experience and strong stakeholder relationships. The company offers competitive benefits including pension, medical plan, and ample holiday.

Qualifications

• The candidate will be qualified by experience or working toward ACCA/CIMA/AAT.
• Previous experience in a similar role, producing monthly management accounts independently.
• Excellent IT and Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly management accounts with KPIs and supporting information.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Perform variance analysis of weekly vs monthly accounts and budgets.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and cash at hand reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly payroll analysis and journals.
• Calculate and schedule accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with annual budgets & forecasts and support audits.
