Job summary

Olleco in Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team. You will help produce weekly and monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis, and support bank and payroll reconciliations.

The role requires a candidate who is QBE or pursuing ACCA/CIMA/AAT and has audit experience, with solid Excel skills and strong communication with stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to annual budgets, assist with audits, and help strengthen internal controls as

Qualifications

• The candidate will be QBE or working towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role, able to complete monthly management accounts independently.
• Excellent IT skills including MS Excel.
• Great communications skills and ability to relay information to colleagues and customers.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly management accounts with KPI’s and supporting information.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Perform variance analysis of weekly vs monthly accounts and budgets.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and Cash at Hand reconciliations.
• Prepare Weekly / Monthly Payroll Analysis and Journals.
• Calculate and schedule accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support the finance team in annual budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with year-end audits and auditors.
