Job summary

MET Recruitment UK LTD in Bewdley is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing business where you can own month-end processes and broaden your management accounting experience. Working with the senior finance team, you will prepare monthly management accounts, post journals, perform reconciliations, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.

This is a hands‑on, on‑site role offering real ownership, exposure to financial analysis and the chance to develop alongside

Qualifications

• Solid practical accounting experience and readiness to take greater ownership within a broad finance role.
• Experience with month-end accounting, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills and exposure to management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Post month-end journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Complete balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
• Assist with VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations.
• Produce financial analysis and reports to aid business decisions.
