Job summary

Mpeople Recruitment North West Batley is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a permanent team and support the Accountant with day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Assistant Accountant, ideally AAT or equivalent, and be proficient in Excel and accounting software. Salary £33K- £35K depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Ideally AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Accountant in day-to-day accounting management and control.
• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Reconcile invoices, expenses and financial data.
• Cash and banking; VAT returns; assist audits.
