Job summary

Adapro Talent Partners are exclusively partnering with a growing PE-backed organisation in Northampton to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support UK entities and international operations (USA, Canada and Australia) and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet.

You will perform detailed reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, tax account reconciliations, supplier statement checks, and support month-end reporting and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified with 1–3 years in a finance role.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations for UK entities and international operations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations to support monthly consolidation.
• Reconcile bank, VAT, and other tax control accounts; assist tax payments.
• Support accounts payable with supplier statement reconciliations.
• Ensure accruals and carriage charges are correctly recorded.
• Report reconciliation results and impact to Finance Managers.
• Maintain 13-week rolling cash forecast with weekly updates.
• Assist monthly revenue/margin variance analysis and KPI dashboards.
• Assist year-end audit documentation and respond to auditor queries.
• Document controls and seek process improvements using NetSuite.
