Job summary

AJ Chambers is seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join a friendly team in Woking. You will develop your career within practice, gain experience with a varied portfolio of clients and further your accounting and tax knowledge.

The role includes preparing statutory accounts, basic tax returns, VAT, bookkeeping, and assisting with management accounts and financial reporting, with study support and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is preferred.
• Studying towards AAT/ACCA/ACA is expected.
• Good attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts for clients (limited companies, sole traders and partnerships).
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns preparation.
• Preparing VAT returns and performing bookkeeping duties.
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Carrying out bank and control account reconciliations.
• Liaising with clients to gather information and respond to queries.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Part-Qualified Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join a friendly team at an established Accountancy Practice based in Woking.

Key Responsibilities -

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns and undertaking bookkeeping duties
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
• Performing bank and control account reconciliations
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and respond to queries
• Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties and ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines

You will have previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice and be studying towards -

• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification

In addition to your studies and accounting practicve experience, you will have -

• Good attention to detail and communicationskills
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
