TPF Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Epsom to recruit a Qualified Practice Accountant. The role covers audits, year‑end accounts for various entities, and tax compliance work within a supportive team.

You will work directly with clients, handling queries with professional communication and contributing to high‑quality service delivery. A strong emphasis on development and collaborative culture is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering audits from planning through to completion.
• Experience in preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and ltds.
• Strong knowledge of accounts and tax compliance.
• Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Excellent client communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on audit engagements from planning to completion and provide guidance to juniors.
• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare and submit personal, partnership and corporate tax returns.
• Manage client bookkeeping and reconciliations where required.
• Advise clients on tax planning and compliance matters.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide professional guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent client service.

This client works with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from small owner‑managed businesses to larger SMEs, providing a mix of accounts, tax, and advisory services. About the Role

This is a varied and hands‑on position where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accountancy and tax services and, if you have experience, supporting audit engagements.

• Working on audit engagements from planning to completion, and providing support to juniors where necessary
• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Managing client bookkeeping and reconciliations where required
• Advising clients on tax planning and compliance matters
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide professional guidance
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent client service

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional experience
• Solid experience preparing accounts and handling tax compliance
• Prior audit experience is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Confidence in client‑facing situations with professional communication skills
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
