Job summary

Fletcher George Financial Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Guildford, offering hybrid and flexible working. You will join a well-established, privately owned firm and manage a varied portfolio for owner-managed businesses, delivering statutory accounts, bookkeeping and some management accounts services.

You will support clients using Xero and Sage, enjoy ongoing CPD, and benefit from ACCA study support if required, as part of a friendly team with high autonomy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Strong bookkeeping experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Experience reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping.
• Experience using cloud-based technologies.
• Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Assistant Accountant, Guildford, Surrey | Hybrid & Flexible Working
£38,000 - £45,000 plus ACCA Study Support if required

Fletcher George are arranging interviews for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established, privately owned firm in Guildford.

Working within a great team you will take ownership of a varied portfolio, providing statutory accounts, bookkeeping and some management accounts services to owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and is looking to join a friendly, forward-thinking practice with genuine flexibility.
