Description

My client is a manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester, looking for a strong-willed and business-minded professional to work within their accounts function.

They are seeking someone with strong accounting experience, preferably partway through AAT or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist the Finance Manager in the production of statutory and monthly management accounts, ensuring external and group deadlines are met.
• Provide analysis and reporting to the business for controlling costs and supporting improvements.
• Prepare and post monthly accounting journals and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Provide management with financial information for controlling costs for operations, investigating variances, and providing recommendations.

Person Specification:

• Minimum AAT qualified or equivalent, studying towards professional qualifications.
• At least two years of experience in a similar position or in an auditor role.
• Mature personality, able to work independently but flexible to become part of a team when required.

There may be a need for travel to other sites and the option to work from home, so access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license is crucial. We offer first-class study support, including days off for study/revision during quieter times.
