Job summary

Alexander Lloyd is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join a growing business based in Reading. The role offers exposure across month-end, balance sheet reconciliations, AR, intercompany accounting and support for audits within a supportive finance team.

Hybrid working (Reading office Tue-Thu) with a discretionary bonus and a clear path to progression as you develop in ACCA/CIMA. You must have UK accounting experience and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and progressing to ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong Excel and finance systems skills.
• Confident, proactive and keen to develop.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• Intercompany accounting and recharges.
• Support the annual audit.
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis and process improvements.

The role will include:

• Supporting month-end and year-end close
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Billing and Accounts Receivable
• Intercompany accounting and recharges
• Supporting the annual audit
• Ad-hoc analysis, projects and process improvements

What we’re looking for:

• AAT qualified and keen to progress onto ACCA/CIMA, or already studying ACCA/CIMA
• Strong Excel and finance systems skills
• Confident, proactive and keen to develop
